We also released numerous updates, over years, for all popular Windows versions including 7, 8, 8.1, and 10: Second, I seem to show that you purchased Deskscapes 8 January 6th of 2018 (please correct me if I have that wrong). ![]() It also worked flawlessly on the 6 incremental versions of Windows 10 dating back to 2015. First, DeskScapes 8 still works on 1809, just would not apply a Dream to any monitors over the first (should you have more than one). Tyler, I am sorry your experience was poor but I did want to help clear up some misunderstandings you may have. However, the bug affected static wallpapers on multiple monitors with different resolutions (the thing I was using it for)- I know because my background went black one day after an update. Edited, I checked my purchase history and I got my license in Oct 2017. If I had known Deskscapes would break in an upcoming windows semi annual update for I would have not have bothered with it. There was no prior announcement of end-of-life or indication that you might buy a product that'll only work for months before you need to pay for an upgrade. When they did fix it they indicated that the fix would only be available in the next version and we'd need to pay to upgrade. Stardock indicated they were working on a fix. However, Update 1809 caused an issue that made some users unable to use Deskscapes at all. Stardock sold Deskscapes 8 and indicated that it supported Windows 10. Software breaks without notice and you need to pay to upgrade SO, SOFTWARE IS VERY GOOD, THE ARTISTS PROVIDING IT ARE EXCELLENT, BUT PRAY TO GOD YOU DON'T HAVE ANY ISSUES IF SO, YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. THE PRODUCT APPEARS TO BE RUNNING WELL NOW (FINGERS CROSSED) BUT SINCE THEN (1 WEEK) I HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTING TO GET MY $4.99 REFUNDED, BUT NO RESPONSE EVEN THOUGH I EMAILED THEIR SITE WHICH IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS BILLING OPTION. THANKFULLY MY PRODUCT KEY STILL FUNCTIONED. I UN-INSTALLED THE UPGRADE AND RE-INSTALLED THE PREVIOUS WIN8 SOFTWARE. I LEFT AN EMAIL REQUEST FOR SERVICE, AND IN RESPONSE I GOT AN AUTO-GENERATED PAGE FROM THEIR FORUM YEP, THE SAME ONE I'D WRITTEN THEM DIDN'T ANSWER THE ISSUE. I CHECKED THEIR ONLINE FORUM BUT FOUND NO ANSWERS SPECIFIC TO THIS ISSUE, AND WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE, SUPRIZE!, DISCOVERED THERE IS NO SERVICE. ![]() THE ANIMATIONS WOULDN'T LOAD AND RUN, AND MY ENTIRE PC STARTED RUNNING SLOW. HAVEN'T HAD ANY TROUBLE UNTIL I ATTEMPTED TO UPGRADE TO WIN-CUSTOMIZE 10 (ONLY $4.99!) AT THE COMPANY'S RECOMMENDATION. I HAVE BEEN USING STARDOCK'S WIN-CUSTOMIZE PRODUCT, WHICH IS A DREAMSCAPE ANIMATED DESKTOP BACKGROUND, FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS NOW ON WINDOWS 10. And please don't give me any BS feeble excuses like you tend to do. But if they had a customer help line I wouldn't have posted here. If YOU think that after reading all the other comments and you want to take a chance, good luck my friend. I spent some time stopping the Defender and the Smartscreen, but there is NO way to execute this. Not nice Eih?! Anyway, I managed to find there a downloadable command to download (Start11AutoUpdateStop.bat) but when I go to unzip it, Windows 11 flashes all its red lights warning that this is blocked by DEFENDER and the SMART SCREEN have blocked it as it will damage my computer if I continue. ![]() Otherwise they just tell you to go and ask the people for help and advice. The only help that they gladly offer you, is only a method to relieve you from your cash. Like the other users pointed out, that there is no customer help. I got p****d off with their regular updates and I tried to find a way to opt out. After reading all the reviews below, I think it's my turn to include mine.I am using the Start11. ![]()
